How to use

Simply dial the access number 07744 588 866, wait for the prompt, dial the number you are calling and then press the # key (you can dial your number during the voice prompt if you have heard it before, there is no need to press 'call' again).

Please check the destination country is listed and available and your service package prior to calling.

Who can use it?

Virgin Mobile users with inclusive free minutes should be able to use this number. We monitor this regularly, but you should first quickly check to ensure you don't receive an unexpected charge.

o2 charge you for using the 07744 service. O2 customers can use 0870 041 3496 (peak) and 0844 545 6169 (off-peak) to call for free.

Orange, "3", T-Mobile and Vodafone contracts unfortunately do not allow this number within free minutes at present, although you should again check to be sure as your contract might allow it. We are looking at an alternative so check back for updates!

How can I check this?

Simply call your service provider and ask whether 07744 588 866 is included within your free minutes (there is no need to mention skinttariffs when you call your service provider). Service provider support numbers are:

Virgin Mobile : 789 from your mobile or 0845 6000 789 from a landline

Vodafone : 191 from your mobile or 08700 700 191 from a landline

Orange : 150 from your mobile phone or 07973 100 150 from any other phone

How can I program the number into my phone for one-touch dialling?

For convenience, you can store your s-k-i-n-t mobile dial through number in front of the numbers you call most often on your mobile phone so you never forget to use it.

There are two ways to do this, you can either save the number into the phone book on your phone in the regular way, or you can edit an existing number in your phone book to include the s-k-i-n-t mobile dial through number and dial using pause dialling. This can be done as follows:

Are there any other terms or conditions I should know about?

There are a few other things to bare in mind.

You must have inclusive minutes to benefit from this service pay-as-you-go customers will be charged (check the international calls from a mobile for a cheap alternative)
You should check with the person who owns the phone before you make the call (if it is not you).
You should call the customer service number of your provider shown above, if you have any doubt that the number you are calling is covered.
If you are still unsure as to whether the mobile dial through number is included in your free minutes make a short 1 minute phone call then check your next bill for the call charges.

Q. I have been charged why is this?

A. There a few possibilities,

you may have run out of inclusive minutes,
you maybe calling from a network that doesn't allow you to use this service (please check before calling),
if you are using o2 then ensure you are using the 0870 or 0844 number instead of the 07744 number,
you maybe pressing the send or green call button after entering your destination number, do not do this, after entering your destination number press # and your call will be connected automatically.
